Sherry Lee Hersey is the Marketing Strategy Lead for Business Insurance at Travelers. 

She is a marketing and insurance professional with over 30 years of industry experience including product development, pricing, direct marketing, international insurance for individuals and businesses. Ms. Hersey currently leads the Marketing Strategy organization for Business Insurance and has served as a Regional Financial Officer in Personal Insurance for Travelers. 

In the recent years within Travelers, Ms. Hersey has been an advocate for fostering an environment of diversity. She was a founding member and served on the leadership team of the Asian Diversity Network (ADN). The ADN is one of seven diversity networks formed to recruit, engage, develop and retain employees. Ms. Hersey led the strategic and program development for the ADN. While no longer a member of the leadership team, she continues to mentor many Asian employees, using her knowledge and influence to guide their development and career paths. 

At Travelers, Ms. Hersey also developed the East Meets West in the Workplace Workshop to help foreign educated employees assimilate into the US and Travelers business culture, led the test of bi-lingual marketing materials for small business, hosted the first Asian Agents Council for Travelers in Northern California, served as a speaker at 2nd Annual AON Diversity Conference, and remains actively involved in deepening relationships with Asian Agents.

As Regional Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for ACE International Li, Ms. Hersey led the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Region. There she helped expand the business in two countries to thirty countries in five years.

While at Citigroup, Ms. Hersey built a strategic alliance with the Fubon Group of Taiwan, jointly targeting Hong Kong, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia for new insurance operations and acquisitions. She created market entry strategies, identified targets and joint venture partners, conducted due diligence and negotiations. She also relocated to Taiwan and traveled extensively throughout Asia.

Ms. Hersey is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has an MBA from University of Connecticut. She has also earned the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and a Life Operations Management Associate (LOMA) designation.

Ms. Hersey serves as a MIT Education Counselor and Hartford Alumni Club Board Member. She has also hosted families for Chinese and Russian foreign exchange students.
