SVP, Commercial Finance, Diageo
Namita Subramanian has more than 21 years of diverse finance experience, and has spent most of her career at Diageo North America. Her areas of expertise includes: Business Performance Management, Financial Planning and Analysis, Customer Planning, Business Strategy, Business Decision Support, and Global Audit and Risk. As SVP, Commercial Finance, she is responsible for the finance organization that supports Diageo’s U.S. spirits business, which has revenues of $4.5 billion.
At Diageo, she has received a number of awards, including most recently, the 2014 Diageo President’s Spirit of Supply Team Award for Sales & Operational Planning Process transformation across the business and the 2015 North America Celebrating You Team Award for contributions to the successful launch of Guinness Blonde. In addition to her focus on business performance delivery, Ms. Subramanian is passionate about mentoring people, and has informally and formally mentored many individuals across Diageo U.S. and globally. She has also served as a faculty member for the Diageo Leaders for Growth program.
She holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. She was the only woman in her Mechanical Engineering class of 200 students. She is an avid traveler, runner and triathlete. She has visited over 25 countries and is currently training for her first half–Ironman race and the New York City marathon. She currently resides with her two children in Connecticut.
