James J. Lee Lee is Director, Investments and a partner of the Moldaver Paterson & Lee Group at Stifel. He brings nearly 20 years of experience delivering holistic wealth management and customized investment advisory services to high net worth individuals, family offices, institutions, and non-profit organizations. Along with his partners Ed Moldaver (2017 Barron’s Top 100 Advisor, 2018 Forbes’ Best In State Wealth Advisor) and David A. Paterson (former Governor of the State of New York), they provide strategies geared to the complex needs of their clients, including investment planning, trust and estate issues, wealth protection and charitable giving. He facilitates all aspects of a client’s wealth management needs across all assets including cash, fixed income securities, equities and alternative investments.
Mr. Lee joined Stifel in 2015 through its acquisition of Barclays Wealth and Investment Management, Americas, where he spent three years. Prior to that, he spent nearly five years at Morgan Stanley in its Global Wealth Management Group and seven years at Bear Stearns’ Private Client Services Group.
A first generation Korean-American, Mr. Lee is a current member of the Council of Korean Americans, a global network of Korean Americans dedicated to advancing issues of national importance for its community. He attended Binghamton University and currently resides in Mahwah, NJ with his wife, Emmy, and their two children.
