Gloria M. Kim is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan and Global Head of Index Research.  J.P. Morgan’s top tier index research team is responsible for the development, strategy, marketing, and overall management of developed and emerging markets fixed income indices for the Corporate & Investment Bank globally. In addition, she partners with Credit, Rates, FX, Commodities, and the Equity Derivatives businesses across the bank on index initiatives. Some of the flagship indices include the Emerging Markets Bond Indices (EMBI), the Government Bond Indices (GBI), the local EM indices (GBI-EM) and the corporate EM indices (CEMBI). J.P. Morgan’s global index franchise is ranked in the top 3 in both the U.S. and European Institutional Investor Surveys, and the EM fixed income family of indices currently enjoys over 90% market share in client following.

Gloria started at J.P. Morgan in their Asset Management division, where she managed the Investment Advisor Services platform to promote the firm’s mutual fund business. Prior to joining J.P. Morgan in 1997, Gloria worked at Bankers Trust within Investment Banking and Investment Management. She received her B.S. from Cornell University and her MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business.

Gloria is a former Board Member of the Korean American Community Foundation (KACF), a philanthropy organization within the Asian community providing grants and capacity-building assistance to Korean American charity organizations. In 2014, she was selected by the Council of Urban Professionals as one of their CUP Catalyst: Change Agent in Finance, at their Wall Street Partners Forum. Gloria is currently a Gala Host Committee Member for The New York Immigrant Coalition, which is an advocacy and policy umbrella organization for 175 multi-ethnic, multi-racial and multi-sector organizations that work with immigrants and refugees in New York. She is also a Gala Committee Member for the Korean Community Center, which is one of the biggest nonprofit Korean American Organizations in the U.S. that integrate people of Korean Heritage into the greater community. Gloria volunteers as an interpreter for a Korean American church in her community, providing simultaneous interpretation for the English speaking congregation. 

Within J.P. Morgan, Gloria is active in running events for the Corporate & Investment Bank Women’s Network (CIBWN), the Women In Research (WiR) Career Development committee, and is an Advisor for the LEAP program tailored towards VP women in the Americas.Gloria is married with two boys ages 5 and 7. She is training for her first NYC Marathon this year.
