Vivian Chen is a highly accomplished and transformative marketing executive, with a proven track record of pioneering disruptive business initiatives at three major Fortune 500 companies. She has over 18 years of experience in customer acquisition strategy, new product development and brand management and is currently, Director, Asian Multicultural Market Strategy, for Northwestern Mutual, responsible for spearheading go to market strategies, enhancing business objectives and building superior brand in Asian and Pacific- American communities.
Previously, Ms. Chen held multiple director positions in the global and U.S. McDonald’s business. She led cross functional teams and created innovative business platforms that built long-term and profitable business for McDonald’s. Under her marketing leadership, McDonald’s was awarded the highest distinction of “Marketer of the Year” in 2010 from the Asian American Advertising Federation. In addition to over 30 industry awards, she was the recipient of “Woman to Watch” by the Event Marketer Magazine in 2011, and she has been featured on the ABC’s award -winning program “Asian Influences” in 2015.
Ms. Chen received her Master’s from Purdue University and recently completed the Digital Marketing Executive Program at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She lives in Chicago with her husband Lem. In her spare time, she enjoys outdoor activities and traveling.
