Dr. Satwik Seshasai has over 15 years of experience building technology platforms to serve the world’s most complex sectors. He was recently appointed as the Chief Technology Officer for Spring, the world’s largest single commerce destination for over 2,000 fashion and beauty brands. New York -based Spring was founded by David and Alan Tisch, and has raised over $100M from top tier firms such as Fidelity, Google Ventures and Thrive Capital. Dr. Seshasai oversees the expansion of Spring’s engineering team and helps define Spring’s future technology direction.
Previously, he was the Founding Chief Technology Officer and Head of Sales at Segovia, where he partnered with leading telecommunications firms’ mobile money services to build a licensed payment platform with presence in over a dozen African countries. While at Segovia, Dr. Seshasai also helped develop the World Economic Forum’s Principles on Humanitarian Payments. Before that, he was CTO of NextDocs. He began his career at IBM, where he focused on cloud computing and collaboration.
Prior to Segovia, he was the Chief Technology Officer of NextDocs, one of INC500’s top 10 software companies in the country. At NextDocs, he built a 35 person engineering team and aggregated a set of custom services assets into a highly reliable, well-performing, and FDA compliant platform for over 100 top life sciences firms such as Astra Zeneca and Sanofi to manage quality, clinical and regulatory processes.
