Ran co-founded ClearMountain as a Managing Partner early 2015. ClearMountain is an investment management company based in New York City focusing on residential and commercial real estate, and equity investments in the U.S.
ClearMountain has established a diversified investment platform that adheres to the highest industry standards, offering various real estate and financial investment opportunities to both domestic and international investors. Long-term wealth creation and capital protection are top priorities, as the company seeks to achieve strong returns for its investors while minimizing risk.
Before joining ClearMountain Capital, Ran worked at the Sales&Trading Operations department at UBS Financials. During his time at UBS, Ran managed a 6-person team that handled over 150 million dollars of commission annually.
Before working professionally, Ran was enrolled at the Stern Business School at New York University, majoring in Business and Political Economy, and minoring in Psychology and Entrepreneurship. In his senior year and the following summer, Ran founded CrashDwell, a peer-to-peer student rental platform that was incubated by New York University’s Launchpad incubation program. Within six months, the company was profitable. In order to commit his undivided attention to the fund, the platform was officially shut down after Ran formed ClearMountain Capital.
As a Managing Partner, Ran is responsible for ClearMountain Capital’s day-to-day operations, fundraising efforts, as well as project selections. For 2017, ClearMountain is in the process of raising over 300 million dollars to form a multi-family rental real estate investment trust.
