MeiLin Wan serves as Vice President of Textiles at Applied DNA Sciences in Stony Brook, New York. She is responsible for providing secure supply chain solutions and services to assure quality and enable responsible sourcing practices for textile customers globally. To fulfil the promise of “keeping textiles real and safe”, MeiLin is actively working to for initiating new platforms such as CertainT to safeguard supply chains against product recalls, liability, while maintaining profitability and market differentiation. From 2014 to present, MeiLin has led the team to tag, test and trace over 160 million pounds of US grown cotton, resulting in the launch of products sold under the Pimacott brand in over 1,700 stores throughout the United States at Bed Bath and Beyond and Costco. In addition to cotton, she leads the team for creating and driving commercial strategies to develop innovative textile applications in synthetics, recycled cellulosics, rayon, wool, cashmere, silk and many other fiber, yarn and fabric products. Focusing on excellence in marketing, sales and customer service, MeiLin is also is the lead business manager for multinational partners and clients including Himatsingka, Louis Dreyfus Company, Loftex, Nissha Printing Company, Martin Guitar, Solvay, and other Fortune 500 companies. Prior to joining Applied DNA Sciences, MeiLin worked in marketing and sales for consumer products, and developed the first DNA-formulated and tested skincare product under LAB21 Custom Skincare, a spinoff from The Collaborative Group. She has over 25 years experience in the biotechnology, consumer products and personal care industries, specializing in marketing, sales, strategic and international management.
