Akhtar Chaudhri is the Founder and CEO of Virtelligence, a national Healthcare IT firm with major clients such as Kaiser Permanente, Johns Hopkins, Cleveland Clinic, and Hackensack Health System. As the Principal of Virtelligence, Akhtar is the company’s entrepreneurial life force. His vision and thought leadership has been central to developing a nationally recognized brand. As one of the pioneers in the Healthcare IT industry, he has created one of the premier staffing firms in the country.
Under his guidance, Virtelligence has won a series of awards from Inc. 5000, Great Places to Work, Health Informatics (HCI), and has been recognized by the National Minority Supplier Diversity Council. Akhtar has also been personally honored by Twin Cities Business Magazine (TCB Mag) as a Small Business Success Story, as well as in Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal as a Diversity in Business leader.
Before he founded Virtelligence in 1998, Akhtar held Management Positions at Health Systems and Fortune 500 companies, including United Healthcare Group. He also was an experienced manager for Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting). Akhtar earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Business Information Systems from Utah State University.
